Here's an Invitation .
To EFery Child in Wingham
and District
to
Meet Santa Claus
The Wingham Business Association and other cooper-
ating merchants are sponsoring the Santa Claus entertainment
with a two-fold purpose :
First and foremost, the businessmen of Wingharn want to
give all the children of the town and district a real treat. Secondly,
they want you, the shoppers, to find out early in the season that
Wingham is the best place you can go to do your Christmas
shopping.
Article for article and dollar for dollar the merchandise
you purchase in Wingham Will stand comparison with that in any
other place.
Our local merchants know their customersrand their cus • - tomers know from whom they. buy. There is no guess work about
the reputation or honesty of your supplier,, He is the man you
meet every two or three days--the fellow with whom you live—
and he simply can't afford to give you anything less than full
value for your money.
and k0' your
Christmas Treat
You don't have to buy blindly when you shop in Wing-
ham. You don't have to look at a picture in a catalogue; you
can examine the articles in which you are interested . . and if
you're not satisfied, all you have to do is say so.
Naturally the merchants want you to shop at home. It
is the dollars /Spent in this community which remain to find their
way back into your own pockets for your produce or your ser-
vices. We are all proud of this community in which we spend our
lives, and we like to feel that if it is good enough to live in, it is
good enough to buy in.
Saturday afternoon will provide you with a grand chance
to visit the stores. The children will be attending the free show
at the Lyceum Theatre as the guests of the Wingham Business
Association. Their stomachs should be comfortably looked after
following their visit to Santa's sleigh . . . and their mothers and
fathers will have time to look around the business places.
No merchant wants to spend more than you plan
to or can afford. All of the business men, however, would like to
show you their wares and invite you to buy your gifts in Wingham.
