Training Institute
Starts This Month
Wingham has been chosen as the
centre for a training institute for
Maitland Presbyterial Society of the
Presbyterian Church in Canada, and
meetings will be held each evening in
St. Andrew's Church, from October
19 to 23 inclusive.
Training Institutes are being held in
all seven Synodicals of the Western
Division of the W.M.S., extending from
Vancouver to Montreal. Teams are
being sent out by council and will in-
clude a leader in each of the depart-
ments of childrens', girls' and adult
work. The purpose of these institutes
is to promote lay leadership in all de-
partments of church work.
A missionary, who has had several
years of experience on the mission
field will compete the team, and will
give an address on her experiences
and activities at each session.
