Buried in Wroxeter
Elizabeth Galloway, wife of Fleming
Ballagh, of Wingham, died in Wing-
ham General Hospital, on Friday after-
noon, after a long illness. Daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. David dal-
loway, of Howick Township, she was
in her 69th year,
Mrs, Ballagh was born in Howick
Township and was married there in.
1912, She lived in Belmore since 1917,
and came to Wingham from there
two years ago. She was a member of
Knox Presbyterian Church, Belmore.
Surviving besides her husband are
two sons, Harvey, of Belmore, and
Elmer, of Wingham, and a daughter,
Myrtle, of Wingham. Two children,
Bruce and Laureen predeceased her.
Also surviving are one brother, Wil-
bert Galloway, of Gorrie, and two
sisters, Jessie (Mrs, Henry Johann-,
of Belmore and Myrtle (Mrs. Wm.
Darling) of Carrick Township. A
sisters Jessie (Mrs. Henry Johann),
of. Wingham, and two brothers, Oliver
and George Galloway, predeceased her.
Funeral services were held on Oct-
ober 5th, frern Currie's Funeral Home,
with interment in Wroxeter cemetery.
Rev. Mattliew, Beilie conducted the
servicee aseietefl by Rev. Alex Nimmo.
Pallbearers were Bruce Darling,
Ross McKague, Robert Inglis, Blake
Alton, Wee. Galloway and George Gal-

The regular meeting of the librar
board met in the Commenity Ceritr
on Monday, September 28, with Mr.
C. R. Coultes in the chair. The spare
tary-treasurer, Rev. C. D. Cox read
the minutes of the last meeting.
Beginning November 21st, the lib-
rary hours will be from 2.30 pen. until
4.30 p.m.
The board decided to buy twenty
new non-fiction books for the library.
A committee was appointed to choose
the books and also to buy books for
prizes to be presented to the wieners
of the library poster contest. The fol-
lowing members were chosen for the
committee: Mrs. Geo. Michie, Mrs,
Clifford Logan, Mr. Alex Robertson
and Mrs. Lawrence eannan,

Reception for Newlyweds
A reception in honor of Mr. and
Mrs, Tom Wade, who were married
recently was held in the Forester's
Hall, on. Thursday evening. A large
crowd of friends and neighbours were
in attendance.
Tiffin's orchestra provided music for
dancing and Fred Deacon called the
square dances.
The bride looked lovely in her wed-
ding gown, and her three attendants
in their ballerina costumes of mauve
and blue, added a decorative touch to
the occasion.
Following the serving of lunch, an
address was read by Murray Brad-
burn and Harry Brydges presented the
bride and groom with a gift of money
from those present.
The groom expressed thanks and
appreciation on behalf of his bride
and himself, to the gathering, for their
good fellowship and generosity,
Mr. G. K. Manors, government in-
spector of Northern Fish Hatcheries,
and Mrs. Manore of Port Arthur, vis-
ited on Thursday of this week with
Mr. Manore's aunt, Mrs. A. M. Per-
due, They were accompanied by Mr.
and Mrs, Ted Manors of Sarnia.
Recent visitors wkith Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Vannan were Mr. and Mrs.
Packman and Mr. and Mrs. Scott, all
of Windsor.
Mrs. James VanCamp' of London,
spent the week-end at the home of
her niece, Miss Nora VanCamp.

and Mrs. Stan Halliday, of London,
visited the past week with Mr. and
Mrs. Robt. Higgins and other relatives
