Work on the new addition to the
Co-op mill is progressing favorably.
The enperstructure is up, and the
floor is being laid of the present
time. When the building is completed
it will be used for storing feeds and
fertilizer.

that are being presented in Stratford

The regular monthly meeting of the
W.M.S. of the Brick United Church
was held pn Wednesday at the home
of Mrs. Ronald Coultes, with twelve
ladies present, Mrs. Alan Pattison pre-
sided and followed the meditation per-
iod in the Missionary Monthly, Mrs,
Leslie Wightman 'introduced the Study
Book and Mrs. Mcleitehie, Mrs, Wight-
man and Mrs. Pattison gave reports of
the work of the three rural mission-
aries—at large, Miss Graham, in
Sask., Miss Bock in Alberta and Miss
Matthews, in Ontario. Mrs. Pattison
led in prayer for the success of the
missionary work and the meeting was
closed by all repeating the benedict-
ion.

About seventy from the United
Church Sunday School attended their
annual picnic at the end of the 12th
Con, of Ashfield, on Saturday after-
noon. The men and boys enjoyed their,
ball games while Marjorie Coultes and
Janet Gaunt had charge of the games i
and contests, Some enjoyed the dip in
the lake, but found the long, steep
climb up hill again, very trying, while
some made the trip in their jeep.
Miss Eleanore Wightman, ar. Victor-
ia Hospital, London, spent the week-
end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Leslie Wightman, of E. Wawanosh.
Mr. and Mrs. Gershom Johnston
visited on Sunday at the home of their
son, Kenneth and with Mr. and Mrs,
Ross McMichael, of Clinton, and Mr.
and Mrs. Chas, Wood, Seaforth. Mrs.
Wood and her two children accompan-
ied them home, to spend a few days
this week here,

Miss Margaret Taylor has been
visiting for a few days at the home

Mr. Harry Hayes, Jr., of Detroit,
is spending this week at the home of
Mr. and Mrs, Fred Tiffin and with
other Tiffin relatives in Kinloss,
Mr, and Mm, Sandy Murray and
Kathleen, of Toronto, are spending
these two weeke at the Murray cot-
tage at Langside.
Mr. J. B. Morrison returned home

ily, of Kinloss, visited on Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Martin. Mr.
Martin had the hydro turned on in his
farm home and buildings en Friday.

Sundays, as Rev, Brook is taking his
holidays in August. Rey. Mr. McCon-
nell, of Lucknow, had charge of the
service in the Presbyterian Church
here on Sunday, and Rev. R. D. A.
Currie will resume his work in this
charge next Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs, Frank Vanner and
their family and grandchildren from
London, visited Sunday with Mrs, Jas,
Cornelius and Mr. Amos Cornelius.
Rev, and Mrs. Watt leave on Friday
to spend a month at the home of their
son, Dr. Donald Watt, at the Queen
Charlotte Islands, B. C, Rev. and Mrs.
Robert Watt, of Mitchell, will spend
their month of vacation here at the
home of his parents, Rev, and Mrs,
Watt.
