visiting this week at the home of his,
son, Mr, Thos Morrison,
Mrs. J, C, Gillespie and Miss Olive
Terriff attended the Wingham gradu-
ate nurses' picnic at Kincardine on
Tuesday,
Many in this district have followed
with concern .the recent illness and
death of Dr, Redmond, of Wingham,
and have remarked what a kind friend
and doctor he had been to many fami-
lies in this district for so many years.
Mr, and Mrs. Orville Tiff, Mr, and
Mrs. James McInnis and Mr, John
Falconer were in Goderich on Satur-
day to attend the wedding of their
niece, Marilyn Butler, only daughter
of Mr, and Mrs: Alec Butler, and Wal-
ter. Gryvas son of Mr. and Mrs. Gryva,
of Saskatoon, Sask. The marriage was
solemnized in the Presbyterian Church
there at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mr. Lane, of
Seaforth Presbyterian Church officiat-
ing, About 100 guests attended the re-
ception at the Maitland Golf Club.
Mr. Gryvasis a member of the_R,C.A.F.
and is moving from Clinton. They will
make their home at Vancouver, B.C.

Mr. ad Mrs, Earl Caslick, and Mr.

Mr, and Mrs, Wallace Conn and fam-
ily, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Wilfred Casliek, who had a cottage at
Bruce Beach last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Henderson, of
Lucknow, visited on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. Moore,
Dr, and Mrs. Arthur Watt and son,
Ronald, of Byron Sanitarium, London,
visited one day last week with his
parents, Rev, and Mrs. W. J. Watt.
Mr. Chas. Leaver has been visiting
for the past week in Toronto, where
Mr. Fred Leaver is seriously ill in
the General Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Purdon and
baby, Bryan," arrived home on Wed-
nesday, after spending a few weeks at
the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Welles, of Furness, Sask,
Mrs. Lyle Jackson, of Sylvania,
Saskatchewan, spent a few days last
week with her aunt, Mrs. Andrew
Kirk, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.
D. Beecroft, and Mr. and Mrs. Ber-
nard Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Bailie
Parrott, of Blyth, visited there on Fri-
day.
Mr. Roy. McGee, of Kitchener, spent
last week at the home of his father,
Mr. Henry McGee and cordon.
Miss Janet Watson, of Aylmer, spent
a few days last week at the home of
her sister, Mrs. Gilbert Beecroft.
Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Vipond, of
Atwood, spent the week-end at the
home of their daughter, Mrs. Leslie
Wightman. Miss Joan Wightman is
attending the summer school at Code-
rich this week for the young people of
the United Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Chapman,
Shirley and Gary, visited on Sunday at
the home of her mother, Mrs, Smith,
of Aurora, and Shirley and Gary
stayed to spend this week there.
Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Ross and
family, of Galt, also her mother, Mrs.
Ingram, from Novra, Man., visited on
Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Mac
Ross and Miss Olive Terriff.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bell and Heath-
er Lee, spent Sunday with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Allgood, of Bur-
ford. Rorie Allgood and Janice Mud-
ford, who have been visiting here the
past week, returned to their homes at
Burford.
Mr. and Mrs. Buckton spent a few
days last week at the home of their
daughter, Mrs. Gibson Hamilton, of
Lucknow.
Many in this district were pleased
to hear the recorded program pre-
sented by the pupils of S.S. No. 10,
with their teacher, Mrs. Norman, on
Saturday over CKNX.
Mrs. John McGee was able to re-
turn home from Wingham Hospital
on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark McGregor and
Bruce visited with relatives in Orillia
on Sunday, and Bruce stayed to holi-

Mr. and. Mrs. John Carruthers and
family, of Delhi, spent Sunday at the
home of his sister, Mrs, Geo. Fisher.-
Anne and Sharon Rintoul, spent last
week with their anut, Mrs, Mack Car-
diff, of Brussels,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Robertson and
Jimmie, spent Sunday with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Forster, of W.
Wawanosh.
Quite a number from this district
were in Goderich on Saturday for the
Orange celebration.
Mrs. R, M. Shiell and Wilfred, visit-
ed in London on Sunday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Shiell, and her
grandson, Bobby, who has been here
for several weeks, returned home.

and. Mr, and Mrs. Gordon McBurney
and Bens, visited on Sunday With Mr,
and Mrs. Peter Bienterna, of Lucknow,
Mrs, John Falconer spent a few
days last week at the home of Mr, and

Eleanore Mitchell came home with

land, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Greenham, of
Toronto, spent Sunday with their son,
Bob, who is working with Mr. Harold
Walker, this summer,

The members of the W.M.S. enter-
tained the members of the baby hand
at their meeting on Wednesday after-
noon. The meeting was led by group
leader Mrs. Alvin Snell. The meeting
opened by singing "Jesus Loves Me."
Prayer was offered by Mrs. Donald
Snell.
The Scripture was read from Psalm
121 by Jeanetta Sell. A duet, was
given by Mrs. Don Snell and Jeanetta
Snell.
A talk on a family in Africa was
given by Mrs. C. C. Washington fol-
lowed by a duet by Barbara Smith
ails'. Donna Walden and prayer by
Mrs, Chas. Smith. Hymn "God Will
Take 'Care of You," Was sung.
During the business part of the
meeting the ladies decided to .have a
bee and clean the auditorium of the
church, The birthday money which
was to have been taken at the June
meeting was taken at this meeting.
Eighteen members answered the roll
call with a verse of Scripture. The
meeting closed with a hymn and
prayer by the president Mrs. Chas.
Smith after which lunch was served.
Personals
Mr, and Mrs. Don Snell and child-
ren visited on Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Radford, of Parkhill,
and on Sunday with friends at Grand
Bend.
I Miss Lois Campbell attended Sum-
mer school this week at the camp
grounds north of Goderich.
