Sanford Zimmerman was taken to the Wingharn General Hospital on Thursday and is suffering from a cri- tical heart condition. Communion, At St. Stephens The Easter communion service at the St. Stephens church was well at- tended with the rector, the Rev. D. H, T. Fuller in charge. There was special Easter music, the anthem being War- ren's "The Magdalene." The lovely Easter lilies and daffodils were given by Mrs. F. C, Taylor in memory of her husband, Mr. F. C. Taylor and by Miss Mary Corbett, Toronto, in men's- * my of her father, Wm. Corbett, also by Rev. D. H. T. Fuller in memory of his father and a brother killed in World War II, W. M, S. Easter Meeting Mrs. Wesley Tremble opened her home for the Easter meeting of the Wonsan's Missionary Society of the United Clrarch, on Thursday evening. Miss Margaret Dane led in the wor- ship service. The opening hymn "Ch'r'ist the Lord is Risen today," was sung. Mrs, Cecil Grainger read the Scripture taken from Marls 15: 1-11 and offered prayer, Mrs, Geo. Brovni gave a poem "Calvary's Message," followed by the hymn "Look Ye Saints, the Sight is Glerious," Rev. J. W. V. Buchanan gave a fine address "The Easter Message," Karen Michel, Sandra Edgar gild Ruth Grainger pang "There is a Green Hill Far Away." Mrs. I. Toner, presi- dent, conducted the business. Mrs. Q. Ramage of Vineland, formerly of Gor- rie, has kindly consented to be guest speaker on May 10th, at the 11 o'clock service. The meeting closed with the hymn "When T Survey the Wondrous Cross." The Rev. J. W. V. Buchanan pronoun- cad the benedigtion. Lunch was served by the hostesses, Miss Margaret Dane, Mrs. C, Grainger and Mrs, Gordon Brown. Women's Institute The Gorrie Women's Institute will hold their April meeting at the home of Miss Margaret Dane, on Tuesday, April 14th., at 2.30 p.m. Mrs. Gordon Browh will be in charge of the pro- gram. Rpll call, "A responsibility of an Institute member." After, a delicious buffet supper, table setting and table service was discussed and demonstrated, The meeting adjourned at the end of a very successful day. Trinity W.A. The Women's Association of Trinity Anglican Church will meet in the love, basement on Thursday, April A 9th, at 2 p,m. quilt is to be quilted and the roll call will be a verse on Gowanstown W.I. Presents Play The three-act, comedy, "The Two Brats" was presented in the Ford- wich Community Hall on Tuesday evening by the Gowanstown Women's Institute and sponsored by the Ford- wich Women's Institute. The members of the cast took their parts well and it was a very humorous play, Personals Mr, and Mrs. Jack Welsh, Karen, Barry and Thelma, also Miss Doris Welsh, of Toronto, and Mr. Wilfred Quinn, of Camp Borden, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Ernie D'Arcey. Mr. and Mrs. John Colwell and her daughter were week-end visitors in London. Mr, and Mrs, Robert Holland and Miss Jean Allen, of Kitchener, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everitt Allen, Mr, and Mrs. E. Fleuscheur and family, also Bill Johnston, Stratford, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Warren. Mr, and Mrs. Weldon Hambley and Wayne, of Toronto, also Mr. Max Hambly, of Waterloo, visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ham- bly. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gannett and daughter, Clara, also Mrs Geo. Mc- Murdo of Toronto, spent the week-end with relatives in town.
