1953 Taxes
Taxpayers may make payments on account
of 1953 taxes up to 80 per cent of 1952 taxes.
Interest at the rate of Four per cent, per
annum wil be allowed on such prepayments.
Prepayments of taxes must be made at the
Town Treasurer's Office, Town Hall.

SPOTTERS ORGANIZED—Several
ground observation posts for aircraft
spotting will be establisted in the Kin-
cardne area by the R.C.A.F. in the

ADD TO COUNTY HOME—Ap-
proval has been obtained for the ad-
dition to the Huron County Home in
Goderich. It is expected drawings and
specifications will be completed in
three weeks, at which time tenders
will be called.
ST. HELENS
The annual meeting of the Women's
Institute will be held Thursday after-
noon in the United Church at 2.15.
Roll call, "A Beauty Spot in Ontario."
There will be the election of officers,
and the reports of the year will be
presented. Please note the change of
time. The same evening Dr. Helen Sal.
held will show slides of her visits to
European countries in the church at
8.30. Everyone is invited and the lad-
ies are asked to bring lunch,
Word has been received by relatives
here of the death of Mrs. Donald
Rutherford, Mrs, Rutherford who left
this community with her husband and
family to reside in Saskatchewan
about 40 years ago, had been spend-
ing the winter months with her dau-
ghter, Mrs. Harry Day, at Penticton,
B .C.
Mr,;. G, S, McIntyre of Bracebridge,
was 9. week-end visitor with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Miller.
