Working as a hospital orderly at Kitchener, he snapped out of the amnesia blackout. Sympathetic friends gave the penniless man railway fare to return home to his anxious family. Mr. Moszkowski, received a cable from his wife in England, that she could not sail on the 16th as ex- pected, as her mother, whom she had been visiting had taken a stroke the clay previous, and was in a serious condition at her home. Rhr- toul, has been very ill in Wingham Hospital during the past two weeks, but has taken a turn for the better since a specialist from London came and brought a new wonder drug. Wishing you all the best in Happy New Year to all. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Moore, of the village, are celebrating their golden anniversary this New Year's Day. Fifty years ago, on December 31st., Mr. Moore, son of the late Isaiah Moore and Margaret Dolena, daugh- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Mc- Gregor, were married at the home of the bride's parents, at Langside, by the late Rev. G. M. Dunn, of White- church. His brother, the late Wesley Moore, and her sister, Mrs. Jas. Moffatt, of Lloydminster, Sask., were their attendants. They made their home on the 3rd. of Kinloss, until seven years ago,' when they moved to the village. To them were born two T children, Irene, Mrs. Harold Sparling, and Milian. on the home farm, and they have five grandchildren. They were always workers in their com- munity and in their church, and many El friends in this district will wish them 5 many more years of health and happi- a i ress together. Many in this community will extend sympathy to Mrs. Edward McBurney whose father, Mr. Joe Yuill, passed away in Wingham Hospital, on Mon- day morning. His wife predeceased him last year. Mr. and Mrs, Cecil Falconer spent the week-end at the home of their soli', Mr, Relison Falconer, Wingham. Mrs. R. Falconer was a patient in Wingham Hospital over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mrs. Irene Paterson and Miss Heloen, of Toronto, spent the week-end with her Mother, Mrs, Win, Taylor. Miss Matilda Alexander, who resides at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Moore, celebrated her 90th birthday on Decemb'er 16th. McIlrath. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Purdon, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon and Richard and Nancy Curran spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bott. Little Patricia Bott, who had been visiting here for the past few weeks, returned to her home at Belwood with them. Mr. Pete Kennedy arrived home from Victoria Hospital on Tuesday last and is wearing a dark glass on his sore eye. Mrs. Harry Tichbourne, of Goderich, who was staying with her mother, Mrs. Kennedy, returned home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Johnston and children, of Belgrave, Mr. and Mrs. Win, Brown, and her brother, M. Lloyd Bell, of Lucknow, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson and other Tiffin families gathered on Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Tiffin, of Kinloss. Pollock, of Wingham, was taken to Victoria Hospital, London, on Saturday, where he will be a patient for some days. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neighbour, of Colburn, Sask., have been visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. G. Gillespie, for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Laidlaw and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Laidlaw made a business trip to London on Monday, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Peacock and family of Bluevale, Mr. and Mrs. Itobt. Hall, Wingham, Mr. Adam Robertson, and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Robertson, and Jimmie, of E. Wawanosh, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. John Craig and Mr, and Mrs. Dawson Craig, Ross Peacock stayed to spend a few days with Alex Craig. Wawanosh, spent Sun- day at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Walter Elliott. Mrs. Jas. Cornelius celebrated her 89th birthday on Saturday, December 27th. Best wishes from a host of friends. Mr, and Mrs. Percy Vanner and Mr. Arnold Vanner, of London, visited on Saturday at the home of Mr, and IVIrs. Amos Cornelius. Mr. Garnet Ferries. and Mr. Russell Gaunt made a business trip to Blen- heim, on Tuesday. A man in a jeep came along the 12th concession of East Wawanosh, before -Christmas and sawed off two little pine trees from Mr. John Par, don's plantation on the corner of his bush farm. Mr, Purdon says that he has lost a number of trees this year in the same way.
