John Greenaway was the son and Loretta Fischer, the daughter; Jacqueline Kerr, the maid; Keith Moffat, the post man; Douglas Fischer and Bob Hall, cats. Murray McFarlane and Carol Greig, were father and mother Smith, and Ian Mundell, Santa Claus, There were solos, duets and choruses , .sung by the characters in the play, At intermission, Rev, Matthew Bailie conducted community singing of old favorite songs and Christmas carols. Sharon Grubbe and Ruth Currie, of Wingham, presented Highland danc- ing. Choruses by junior pupils were much enjoyed. Mrs, Donald Robertson was accompanist for the program. At the conclusion, Santa Claus appear- ed to distribute gifts from a shining tree. W. I. Xmas Meeting The Women's Institute met at the home of Mrs. Jos. Curtis en. Thurs- day afternoon, with the vice-presi- dent, Mrs, Jos. Horton, presiding. The roll call was answered by giving Horton, Mrs. Jos, Curtis and Mrs. M. Bailie were named a committee to prepare the boxes. Rev, Matthew Bailie, recently from Ulster, described the Ulster man, telling something of his ,history, and also gave some of his impressions of Canada, Mrs, Oliver Moffatt played a piano solo, "Christmas Eve," and Mrs, Robertson and Mrs. Hoffman sang a duet, "There's a Star in the Sky." The members sang Christmas carols, Re- freshments were served by the hos- tess assisted by Mrs, F. Stamper, Mrs. J, H. Smith and Mrs. E Nichol Elect Officers The Triple group of the Ladies' Aid met in the Presbyterian Church, with an attendance of 20. Reports were given by the Triple and Morris groups, showing an excellent year financially, The ladies decided to finance the making of a sidewalk at the manse, the work to he done early in the spring.
