Barbour, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Barbour, of R.R. 2, Lucknow, in St, Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham. .3.4r, and Mrs. Allan McGill and Stewart returned 'hone from a six• weeks' vacation through Westprn, Canada and down the. Coast. to Cali- fornia, to visit with their brother, Nor- man McGill, While there they travelled. south to Mexico. They reported A very enjoyable trip, covering over 9,00 miles. Miss Isabella Kirton Passes in London At London hospital on Wednesday, October 22nd„ there entered into rest a lifelong citizen of Turnherry Town- ship, in the person of Isabella Kirton, following a lingering illness, the last year of which was spent in the •hos- pital. In her 88th year, Miss Kirton was a daughter of the late James Kirton and Elizabeth Grey, pioneers of Turnberry, She is survived by one brother, John, a niece, Mrs. Elizabeth Leslie, who resided with her, and a nephew, Eldon, of the 4th line of Turnberry, Miss Kirton was born on the farm 4th line of Turnberry, where she spent her entire life. She was a kind neigh- bor and friend and dearly belovedt by her many friends in the community. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Funeral services were held from her late home on Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Matthew Bailie, of Bluevale Presbyterian Church, in charge, Pall- bears were Eldred Nichol, Wm. Dett- man, Raymond Elliott, James Elliott, John McTavish and Ward Sharpin, Floral tributes were carried by nep- hews of the deceased. Interment was made in Wroxeter cemetery.
