Jittery after a station-house session, Feldman put on his glasses, stepped on the gas and cracked into two cars, one the same detective's. BENOIT Ladies' Guild The Ladies' Guild of Trinity church held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Alvin Higgins with the president, Mrs, C, H. Wade in charge. The members joined together in prayer to open the meeting, followed by a Scripture les- son read by Mrs. F. Shoebottom, Sev- eral cards and letters of appreciation from members and former members were read. A discussion followed on renovating the choir room, Mrs. M. Bradburn read an article entitled, "Why Prayer," and Mrs. A. Higgins a poem, "Garden Lover." Members were requested to bring donations for the bazaar to the next meeting to be held in September at the home of Mrs. W. Brydges. The meeting closed with prayer and lunch was served by the hostess. Messrs, Jack Shiell and Chester Higgins left on Tuesday for western Canada to help with the harvest. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mrs, Floyd Campbell on the recent death of her mother, Mrs. J. gelra of Lucknow. Mrs. James Leitch is holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hutton at Shequindah, in the Thessalon district, Misses Amy Smith and Joan Bry- dges left on Sunday from London by plane for Cleveland, Ohio, and then on to Elyria, Ohio, to spend a week with Miss Jean Hayes, Miss Lois Grasby was visiting in Forest last week, Mr. Charles R.
