It serves a most useful purpose in keeping children wisely occupied and more than that, the informal get-' togethers are particularly valuable for the pre-school' children. The little ones are getting an opportunity to gain some experience about getting along with other youngsters before the- start to kindergarten in the fall. The task of the kindergarten teachers should be made easier by the present summer classes. The job of looking after these children and keeping: them interested is not an easy one. just ask any mother who has handled two or three of her own and a couple of the neighbours'. Multiply that number several times . over and you get some conception of the patience and resourcefulness which :is demanded 02. the girls who are supervising the summer school. We hope that the idea proves sworkable and that it • is continued in years to come.
