Plan To Spend $118,000 On Harbour Elston Cardiff, Progressive Conser- vative M.P. for Huron North, Thurs- day of last week obtained from Public Works Minister Fournier an outline of Goderich harbor works contemplat- ed in a vote of $118,000 contained in department estimates. Mr. Fournier said the sum was to provide for completion of urgent re- pairs to a portion of the mooring wharf and east harbor wall, $11,000, and •reconstruction of a 500-foot sec- tion of the south pier in steel sheet piling and reinforced concrete, $107,- 000. Earlier Appropriation The appropriation in 1951-52 was $153,000. Estimated expenditure on Canadian Dredge and Dock Company contract for reconstruction of sections of the north and south piers was $113,- 000, day labor, $8,000, nuking a total of $124,484.9$.
