is away on heliday's.
The Presbyterian Y.P.S. held the
regular meeting on Sunday night. Mr,

The minutes of the meeting
held June 3rd, were read and adopted
on motion by Hanna, seconded by
Buchanan, carried, Moved by Buch-
anan, seconded by McGowan, that the
council protest the account of the
C.N. railway committee, as there is
only 50 per cent of the township of
East Wawanish benefited by the rail-
way. The clerk to write the secretary
of the committee, carried. The col-
lector returned the 1951 tax roll with
$3,700 uncollected, which will be sent
to the county treasurer after the 15th
of July"

An interesting and pretty wedding
was solemnized an Saturday after-
noon, June 7th at*2.30 in Laurel Un-

Saunders officiating, when Shirley
Elizabeth Platt, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. T. W. Platt, R.R. 3, Orangeville,
exchanged marriage vows with Nor_
man Robert Wilson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. w. T. Wilson, Mono Centre. -
Matron of honor was Miss Mary
Wilson, sister of the groom and the
bridesmaid was Miss Patricia Platt,
sister of the bride. Best man was
Mr. Murray Lewis, Mono Centre and
ushers were Mr. Orval Wilson, bro-
ther of the groom and the bride's •. brother, Mr, Willard Platt. Miss
Pauline Swanson, of Wingham, played
the wedding music and during the
