Tidings, and made a suggestion that
each one present, for the remainder
of the year, concentrate on studying
the life and work of one missionary,
and offer daily prayer for the MS-,
sionary chosen, This suggestion Was
accepted and will be put into
practice and should result in a
better informed group and a deeper
interest in the work and welfare of
our missionaries.
Mrs. Young led in the offertory
prayer and Mrs, Bruce played a piano
solo which was much enjoyed, The
meeting was clbsed with prayer.
The quilt and other contributions
for the bale were on display. The hos-
tess served a, delicious lunch and a
pleasant social time followed the
meeting.

Last Wednesday morning, thirty-
two members of the 6th line Farm
Forum. boarded a chartered bus in
Belgrave for a visit to the O.A.C.
During the morning a tour was made
of the farm. Highlights of the after-
noon were the visit by the ladies to
MacDonald Hall, where they saw the
latest ideas in homemaking; while
the men visited the cattle barns, view-
ed experimental plots and hay-drying
equipment,
Trinity Church Guild
The regular meeting of the Ladies'
Guild was held at the home of Mrs.
John McGill. The meeting opened
with the. singing of "God Save the
Queen," in honour of our Queen's
birthday and prayer by the Rector.
Scripture was read from the 5th chap.
of the gospel of St. John. Plans were
made to entertain the Guild of Trinity
Church, Blyth, in the recreation room
on June 19th. It is hoped that all the
ladies of our congregation will attend.

At the close of the meeting on be-
half of the W,M.S, and W.A.„ Mrs,
Moores was presented with a silver
cake plate, as a small token of re-
membrance of her relationship with
these two societies. Mrs, W, Scott read
the address. Mrs, J, C. Procter made
the presentation, While taken com-
pletely by surprise, Mrs, Moores ex-
pressed her apprciation and thanks.

men's Institute will be held in the

family were in Toronto on Sunday
and visited with Mr. Hanna's brother-
in-law, Elgin Mayberry, who has been
a patient in the hospital there, re-
cuperating from an operation on the
heart.

The June meeting of the W.IVLS,
of Knox Presbyterian Church was the
annual Home Helpers' meeting, It was
held at the home of the president,
Allityfrs, J. 0, Mel3urney. There was a,
good attendance,
Mrs. McBurney presided for the
business period and Miss Mason, the
home helpers' secretary, had charge
of the remainder of the meeting, Mrs,
Bull, Mrs. Art. Scott and Mrs. Dun,
bar took part in the worship service.
Mrs. Anderson gave a short talk
on the opportunities and responsibil-
ities of missionary women, both mem-
bers and home helpers, Miss Mason
reviewed the May edition of the Glad
Good intentions might backfire...

nic, held at the form of Col, F; E.
Birdsall, Birdsall, Ontario.

Evening Auxiliary
The regular meeting of the Belgrave
Evening Auxiliary was held June 3rd.,
at the home of Mrs, Gordon Bosman,
with 2 8 in attendance.
The meeting opened with the Nat-
ional anthem. followed by the Lord's
prayer in unison. The secretary's re-
port was read and 21 hospital and 5
home visits recorded. It was decided
to cancel the July and August meet-
ings. Mrs. Geo. Michie and Mrs. Har-
vey Edgar were elected as a sports
committee, for a picnic to be held
sometime during the summer. Further
plans were made and committees
named to arrange for the "Parade of
Wedding Gowns 1900-1952," to be held
June 20th, in the United Church at
8.30 pp,
Mrs, Bieman conducted the worship
service with the theme "Stewardship
of Money." Hymn 386 was stale. Mrs.
Logan and Mrs. Stonehouse read pas-
sages of Scripture, Mrs. H. Vincent
read an article on Christian Steward-
ship,taken from the Missionary Mon-
thly. Hymn 434 was sung and Mrs,
Moores closed with a prayer. Mrs.
Logan and Mrs. Chamney gave excel-
lent reports from the Huron Presby-
terial held at Clinton, to which they
were sent as delegates. Mrs. Moores
was presented with a gift from the
society, which was organized under
her leadership. Lunch was served.
United W. M. S.
The regular meeting of the W.M,S,
of the United Church was held on
Wednesday last in the S. S. room of
the church, with the president, Mrs.
Earl Anderson, piesiding for the
opening and business period. The Sec-
retary, Mrs. Geo. Martin read the
minutes of the former meeting.
Mrs. Jesse Wheeler, treasurer, gave a
report of the givings to date, which
