Mildmay United Church on Saturday,
Master Wayne Douglas is spending
a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Kennedy.

Toronto on Friday attending the
Swine Breeders' Field Day.
Mr. Neil Eadle and Mrs. Carl'Doug-
las were in Blyth on Saturday trying
a music essun in advanced theory.
Mr. and Mrs, John Farrell visited
on Saturday with friends at Kitchener
and Galt,
Mr. and Mrs, Thos. Abraham were
in Kincardine on' Friday, attending
the funeral of the late Mr. Jack John-
ston. Mrs, Johnston was a cousin of
Mr. Abraham's, and was the former
Minnie Saunders of Wingham,
Mrs, Robert Duncan and daughters
of Hamilton were guests of the Has-
kins family over the week-end.
Miss Christine Sterling of London,
also spent the week-end with Mr, and
Mrs. Ivan Haskins and daughters.
Mrs. A. Galbraith of Petawawa,
spent the week-end with Miss Marion
Preiss.

again be held this year at the On-
tario Agricultural College front July
28 to August 1.
Features of the one-week school
will be a general course in agricul-
ture, which will include the study of
live Stook and crop production, farm

problems, and rurel sociology; and a

tion which will include the principles•
of land use, erosion, and water con-

The collection was taken amounting
to $9,48, A duet by Mrs. Rowland
Ballagh and Mrs. Norman Newans
was much enjoyed.
Mrs. Amacher gave a very inspiring
address which was based on the 21st.

ably conducted by Mrs. Harvey Bal-
lagh, after which a bountiful lunch
was served by the McIntosh ladies.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Ballagh,
Velma and Lavonne, spent Monday
with Mr. and Mrs, Claude Bronson
of Galt.

The Women's Institute had charge
of the Red Shield Drive for funds in
this district, and collected $186.35 for
this purpose which was forwarded to
salvation Army headquarters in
Wingham. They wish to thank all the
ladies who acted as collectors, espec-
ially those who are not members of
the Institute. The Salvation Army des
sires to thank all who contributed so
liberally to this worthwhile work.
There will be no W. I. meeting in
Belmore this month as the ladies
have accepted an invitation to visit
the Belgrave W. I. on June 17th.
Quit" a number from here attended
the Anniversary services in Bluevale
Presbyterian Church on Sunday.
There was no service in the Presby-
terian Church here.
Mrs. Ralph Metcalfe
The sympathy of the community
is extended to the Metcalfe family in
the loss of their mother, Mrs. Ralph
Metcalfe, Mrs, Metcalfe lived a long
time in this neighbourhood and was
respected for her Christian character.
She was an active member of the W.
I. as long as she was able to attend.
Belmore Y, P. S. entertained the
Brussels Presbyterian Young People
at a social evening in the S. S. room
of the church last Monday evening.
The Huron County Library truck
called at the library at Mrs. McNee's
on Monday morning and left a new
supply of books. Readers and all in-
terested please take note.
