A. Young of town were taken com-
pletely by surprise when the brothers
anti sisters of the bride and groom
of 25 years ago, along with their hus-
bands and wives, met at their home
to honer the couple on their silver
anniversary, Friday evening, April
18th,
The evening was spent playing pro-
gressive euchre and canasta.
A bountiful lunch was served. The
table was centred with a three-tiered
wedding cake. Mr, and Mrs. Young
were presented with a beautiful tri-
light lamp and an automatic toaster,
Mr, Young, on behalf of his wife,
thanked everyone for the gifts and
their kind remembrance.

were; Mrs, Gladys Meehan, Mrs. Jas.
Young, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mach-
an, Mr. and Mrs, George Marshall of
Wingham, Mrs. Edna MacDonald,
Mrs. Florence MacDonald and Mrs.
Guthrie Reid of Teeswater, Mr. and
Mrs. John McBurney of Belgrave, Mr,
Young of Lucan, Unable to be
present were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Armitage of London and Mr. and Mrs,
Stewart MacDonald of Teeswater.
C.G.I.T. Meeting
The regular C.G.IT, meeting was
held at the home of Mrs. W.
Moores on Thursday, April 24th. A
recreational period was enjoyed by
everyone. The meeting began with
the Opening Ceremony. The secre-
tary's report was read and the roll
call answered. The treasurer's report
was read.

ation meeting of the C,G.I.T. The next
meeting will be held on May 8th,
Joan Wightman and Florence Daw-
son are in charge of the next worship
service, Lorraine Hanna and Donna
Anderson are in charge of the recre-
ational period. The girls practised
far the affiliation meeting which is
to be held at a later date. The busi-
ness period was adjourned, The
Chevrons were given out.
The worship service was taken by
Lorraine and Donna. "God in Nature",
was the theme. Hymn 260 was sung.
The Scripture reading was taken
from Psalm 24 by Lorraine. Donna
read an interesting story fonctwed by
prayer. Hymn 11 was sung, The

Church on. Sunday morning, Miss
Rutherford and Miss Isobel Miller
were guests of Rev. And Mrs. M. G.
Newton.
Mr. Frank Todd is a patient in the
Wingham General Hospital, His many
friends hope for a speedy recovery.
