Voice of the Junior Farmers
Dead Duck Hunting club, Jim.
The girls then re-assembled for the
!joint meeting, Two girls from the
North Huron Club were elected to the
County Junior Institute, they were
Dorothy Pattison, second vice-presi-
dent and Evelyn Leaver, director.
Two boys were also elected to the
County Junior Farmers' Executive in
the persons of Murray Bradburn and
George Underwood, directors.
Don Middleton of Granton, past-
president of the Middlesex Junior
Farmers, was guest speaker, choosing
as his topic, "How Proud are You?"
He stressed the importance of juniors
being proud of their Club, thereby
selling it to other young people and
thus expanding their membership.
A very enjoyable program was then
presented by the Bruce County Jun-
' iors, which consisted of several musi-
cal numbers and a comedy fashion
show. Dancing to the music of an
old time orchestra concluded an even-
ing much enjoyed by everyone.
There have been many inquiries re-
garding the Junior Farmers' dance.
,It, is to he informal and barring fur-
ther changes will be held late in
April in the Wingharn Armouries.
Messrs. Underwood and Bradburn
went to Kincardine on Saturday night
equipped with microscopes. etetho-
°scopes, telescopes, germicides and
bactericides, and after careful exami-
nation pronounced Gene Diouhy and
his orchestra from Regina, entirely
°free of Hoof and Mouth disease. They
'promptly hired them for the dance.
Tomorrow night, April PAIL, the.
-regular monthly meetings of the
!North Huron Junior Farmers and
!Junior Institute will be held in Bel-
1 grave. The girls will meet in the
,Community room, Belgrave Commun-
ity Centre and the boys will meet in
'the Foresters' Hall, where the joint
meeting will alsb he held,

At the boys' meeting a member from

year's activities. Owing to the absence
of the secretary and inueli to the
voiced pleasure of Agricultural Rep-

Johnston gave a summary of the
North Huron Junior Farmers' activi-

them about topics of each meeting
and outlined the projects such as the
Machinery Maintenance Club and the
formation of a Bowling Leave snd

At first we thought that they were

but we soon were able to find out
that they had another purpose. They
each had a better policy, like the man

take the bull by the horns, and by dint
of repeated calls attempt to wear you

First, there is the Gildersleeve type,
Who loudly, and good naturedly ram-

is the one who becomes one of the
family, He appears at the front door,
the back'.deor, the side door, you meet
him on every street in town, he even
waits to walk home with you. By mer-
it of the fast friendship and compan-
ionship he feels he can sell you his
favorite policy. There is the Salesman,
who calls you every day on the phone,
pointing out that you haven't long to
live, and are getting older every day,
He tries to scare you into buying. And
the rapid fire type, the one who talks
so fast that he leaves you- cold away
back at the first or second waiver
clause, and literally overpowers you
into buying his company's most mod-
ern Savings Policy. And finally, the
struggling young businessman, who is
so polite, so mannerly, en sincere,
you feel like a heel if you don't buy
from him, and all the time, your bet-
