His memory is a keepsake, With which we will never part, Though God has him in His keeping, We still have him ,in our hearts. —Ever remembered by Helen, Russell and Family. 2* CARD OF THANKS Mr, and Mrs, Jack Baker wish to thank their friends and neighbours for their acts of kindness, cards, flow- ers and the use Of cars during their recent bereavement in the death of their baby daughter, Deborah Dianne. Special thanks to Rev. A, Nlmmo. 2* THE VOICE OF TEMPERANCE A veteran of the first world war makes this plea to every Legion in Huron county. Don't turn your Legion into a wet canteen. It's against the law. The Canada Temperance Act forbids the sale of alcoholic beverages in Huron. The police have no alter- native but to enforce the law. More- over there is evidence at hand that the officers of the law in Huron are quite competent and determined to enforce the law—even though in certain other places law breakers made a fool of the law, The Legion should think more highly of its prestige than to lay itself open to police action. It would be better for the Legion to„....close its doors and surrender its charter than that it should get the reputation of being a bootlegging joint. —Advt.
