Sentencing postponed on bad cheque charges Obituaries former member of St. Mark’s Sentencing of a Clinton-area woman facing 12 charges of pas sing bad cheques had been post poned awaiting a pre-sentence report. Cheryl Beane, RR 4, Clinton pleaded guilty in provincial court in Wingham Nov. 28 to one of the 12 charges. She will enter a plea to the other 11 charges and a charge of failing to appear for finger printing when she appears again in court. More charges are expected to be transferred in from Perth County. The delay in sentencing will allow time for Ms. Beane to get receipts from making restitution, defence attorney Allan Mill told Judge R.G.E. Hunter. The court was told Ms. Beane had opened an account at the Wingham Branch of the Toronto Dominion Bank and despite having no balance and making no deposits received blank cheques. In March 1990 she presented a cheque to Hamilton Fuels in West Wawanosh Township near Lucknow for $40 cash. The cheque bounced. DORIS K. TOWE Doris K.
