Mr. Personality
MR. PERSONALITY
by Kimey Richmond and
Kim Ferguson
Which boy do you think has the
most personality at B.P.S.? To
celebrate the end of the month we
had “Mr. Personality Day.” On
Friday, November 30 all grade 4 to
8 girls received a piece of string.
The object of this little game was
for the boys to try to get the girls to
talk to them. If the girls talked to a
boy, they handed over their ribbon.
The boy with the most ribbons at
the end of the day was crowned
“Mr. Personality”. All girls who
arranged by her sons Angus and
Garnet Starr and their families on
Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Cranbrook
Community Centre. Thelma is a
good friend and neighbour so there
was a large attendance of local
people, as well as almost all her
children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren; along with friends
and relatives from North Bay,
Chatham, Brampton, Owen Sound,
Shelburne, Collingwood and Barr
ie. Best wishes for many more
Thelma.
Steven and Chris Smith were
hosts for a 25th anniversary party
for their parents, Fred and Teuni
on Saturday evening at B. M. and
G. community centre. During the
evening, dancing was enjoyed by
the large crowd which included
Fred’s mother, sisters and brothers
and Teuni’s sister and her family
from Sarnia, and her brother and
family from Cornwall. Fred and
Teuni received many lovely gifts
and good wishes from all present.
still had their ribbons were very
quiet for the entire day.
Our Students Council members
were the people who introduced us
to this interesting game and we
thank them for that. We imagine
the teachers were grateful to the
council, who blessed them with
such a quiet morning.
Everyone seemed to enjoy this
day, and we hope maybe this could
be repeated as Miss Personality
Day.
By the way, B.P.S.’s “Mr.
Personality” was grade 8’s own
personality, Brian McNichol with a
total of eight strings.

Christmas arrangement at the back
was in memory of Sadie and
George Hamm, placed by the
family. An arrangement of red and
white carnations was placed at the
front in loving memory of Evalena
Webster by her neighbours.
Lorna Fraser welcomed everyone
and announced the Sunday School
presentation of “Journey to the
Christ Child”. The entire Sunday
School, appropriately costumed
participated in the pageant of word
and song which started with the
journey from the Garden of Eden,
journeys in the Old Testament
leading up to the birth of the Christ
Child. Different classes portrayed
the journey of Gabriel and the
journey of the angels, shepherds
and the wise men. Special music
was provided by the Nursery class
singing “Away In a Manger” and
by the Junior and Intermediate
Choirs which sang “Your little
ones, dear Lord are we”.
David Craig played the part of
Joseph and Jill Walden portrayed
Mary, Mother of Jesus. White
gifts were presented by the child

“Speaking of dingoes, are the kids
still in the freezer?” Does this
sound like a typical mother to son
question in a normal upper-middle
class family? When Cape (Dennis
Fitzgerald), his ill father (David
Fox), a stranger from the street
(Sherry Smith), Cape’s mother
(Terry Tweed) and her lover (Guill
ermo Verdecchia) all gather to
gether, the hidden truth behind
each character begins to surface.
With a twist of humour, White
Biting Dog spins with the madness
that is often present under the
polished surface of families in
modern-day society.
