PERSONALITY by Kimey Richmond and Kim Ferguson Which boy do you think has the most personality at B.P.S.? To celebrate the end of the month we had “Mr. Personality Day.” On Friday, November 30 all grade 4 to 8 girls received a piece of string. The object of this little game was for the boys to try to get the girls to talk to them. If the girls talked to a boy, they handed over their ribbon. The boy with the most ribbons at the end of the day was crowned “Mr. Personality”. All girls who arranged by her sons Angus and Garnet Starr and their families on Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Cranbrook Community Centre. Our Students Council members were the people who introduced us to this interesting game and we thank them for that. We imagine the teachers were grateful to the council, who blessed them with such a quiet morning. Everyone seemed to enjoy this day, and we hope maybe this could be repeated as Miss Personality Day. By the way, B.P.S.’s “Mr. Personality” was grade 8’s own personality, Brian McNichol with a total of eight strings. “White Biting Dog”, an award winning play by Canadian Play wright Judith Thompson, starts off the 1990 season in the Undergrand. When Cape (Dennis Fitzgerald), his ill father (David Fox), a stranger from the street (Sherry Smith), Cape’s mother (Terry Tweed) and her lover (Guill ermo Verdecchia) all gather to gether, the hidden truth behind each character begins to surface. With a twist of humour, White Biting Dog spins with the madness that is often present under the polished surface of families in modern-day society.
