We played “Tour of the Universe”, “A Week in the Life of.....”, and “New Kid in Town” on the Icons. We designed our own t-shirt decals on the Amiga computers with a program called Deluxe Paint III. Everyone had their decal ironed on a t-shirt. “GRADE 7 AND 8 MUSEUM TRIP” On November 7 the grade 7 and 8 classes went to the Huron County Museum for a Remembrance Day Program. We were split into three groups for the three sessions. The sessions were: watching a film about World War II, touring the Military Gallery and looking at old uniforms and hearing a war veteran talk about the war. We went to McDonald’s for lunch before we went to the Museum. The students would like to thank Glen Carter for driving the bus, McDonald’s for putting up with us, Pat Hamilton and Thomas Eddy for the interesting presentation at the museum. “BEAN SOUP” On November 8 the grade 8 class made bean soup. Anyone who wanted bean soup for lunch brought a bowl and a spoon. Mr. Park’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Pletch’s grade 1/2 made tea bis cuits for the students to have with their soup. The delicious soup was enjoyed by about 150 students. REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE On November 9 the students marched to the Londesboro United Church for a Remembrance Day Service. Some of the grade 8’s read stories and poems. Representatives from each class presented their wreaths and thoughts. The grade 5 class sang a song called “Wishes”.
