Afternoon Unit appoints officers for upcoming year The Afternoon Unit of the U.C.W met on the above date with nine ladies present and Mrs. Sara Anderson in charge. The meeting opened with the following quotation ‘‘He hath showed thee O Man what is good and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God”, and the singing of the hymn, “My Country ’tis of Thee”. Mrs. Helen Martin read for meditation “A Food for Thought for each day of the week with London woman visits connotations from the Bible”. Mrs. Janisa Coultes for Bible Study further described the life of four women who were included in the genealogy of Christ. There was Rachael a harlot of Jericho at the time of Joshua. After marrying once of the spies Rachal became ancestress in the royal line from which Jesus came. Then there was Ruth a Moa- bitess. When her mother-in-law decided to return to her home in Moab, Ruth declared true friend­ ship to go with her. Information Open Houses Whether or not you received a Notice of Property Valuation, you may have questions about your property assessment. If you do, please come to an infor­ mation Open House. An assessor from the Ministry of Revenue's Regional Assessment Office will be available to explain your assessment, answer your questions, and change any inaccurate information relating to your property. If you have questions but can't make it to an Open House, please call or visit the Regional Assessment Office. The date and location of the Open House in your municipality and the address of the Regional Assessment Office are listed below. Appealing Your Assessment If you are still dissatisfied with your assessment after going to an Open House or contacting the Regional Assessment Office, you may appeal to the Assess­ ment Review Board. The appeal must be filed within twenty-one days after the delivery of the Assessment Roll. To file an appeal, please use the form on the back of your Notice of Property Valuation, write a letter, or use a Notice of Appeal form. This form and the address of the Assessment Review Board are available at Open Houses, the Regional Assessment Office, and your municipal office.
