Brussels Livestock report Market sells higher on quality cattle at Friday’s sale The market at Brussels Livestock Inc. Friday sold $2 to $4 higher on top quality cattle. There were 205 slaughter cattle and 81 pigs on offer. Good to choice steers sold from $86 to $92 to the high of $94 per hundred weight. One steer consigned by Bob Blackwell, Sr., RR 1, Ripley weigh­ ed 1210 lbs. sold for $94. One steer consigned by Harry Ritz, West Monkton weighed 1010 lbs. sold for $91.25. Seven steers consigned by Bruce Corrigan, RR 1, Bluevale, Farm averaged 1152 lbs. sold for $90. Three steers consigned by Mur­ ray Thompson, RR 1, Kincardine averaged 1110 lbs. sold for $89.85. Five steers consigned by Jack Giousher, RR 4, Wingham, aver­ aged 1188 lbs. sold for $89.48. Two steers consigned by Hammond Bros., RR 1, Monkton averaged 1290 lbs. sold for $87.88.
