Paul Ross conducted the morning service at Knox United Church and Mrs. Gordon Gross was organist. Rev. Ross gave the call to worship followed by the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy”. Rev. Ross gave the children’s story “Happi­ ness is the Lord”. Rev. Ross gave the Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon followed by the choral response. The hymn “Open My Eyes that I may See” was sung. Rev. Ross read scriptures from Deuteronomy and Matthew. The hymn “Pass It On” was sung. Rev. Ross’s sermon was entitled and“Searching For Happiness’’ the prayer chorus “God is so Good’’ was sung. The offering was received by Lawrence Plaetzer, and Peter Ver- beek and dedicated. The closing hymn was “Lead Us Heavenly Father.” Rev. Ross pro­ nounced the Benediction and the response “Now Thank We All Our God” ended the service. United Church on November 18 as it is Londesboro Anniversary and Auburn congregation is invited to attend there. The U.C.W. Thankoffering meeting will be held on Monday, November 19 at 8 p.m. There will be no church at Knox Auburn Compiled by Mrs. Mildred Lawlor. Prizes went to: high lady, Lois Haines; low lady, Lillian Lether- land; high man, Don Haines; low man. Evelyn Christianson (playing as a man); novelty, Alberta Ste­ vens. Euchre parties are held every Tuesday evening at the Community Centre at 8 p.m. Society meets The November meeting of the Horticulture Society will be held in the Community Centre on Novem­ ber 14 at 8 p.m. George Sutton of Goderich will be the guest speaker and it will be on “Butterflies of the World’’.
