Paul Hessels and Brian Machan’s time of one minute and 33 seconds took top place in the children’s contest. In the bag tie race Arnold Oliver won the men’s with a time of 46 seconds, Bernice Stemmier with a time of one minute and two seconds won the ladies and Brian Machan’s two minutes and two seconds won the children’s. The team of Jim Sloan Senior and Junior took home the prize for the Men’s Log saw contest with a time of 12 seconds. For the Men’s Log saw (own saw) contest Hardy Young and John McDermit took nine seconds, gaining them first place. The mixed log saw was won by Doug and Carol Founger, who finished in 14 seconds and Jean Hedley and Carol Founger won the ladies. Their time was 25 seconds. Men’s and Ladies’ Bag Tie winners were James Armstrong, 39 seconds and Jean Hedley, 50 seconds. The Jack Arthur trophy for a gas tractor prior to 1930 went to Ernie Culley of Port Elgin for his 1930 Rumley oil pull. The John Ellacott trophy for a gas tractor built between 1930 and 1950 was given to Carl Roney of Elmira for his 1949 John Deere. The Searson family of Watford took home the Wayne Houston trophy for the best show engine, a 1913 Sawyer Massey and 1920 Sawyer Massey. CANDIDATE HURON HURON COUNTY ROAD NO. 15 ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY REPORT The County of Huron has completed an Environmental Study Report for improvements to County Road No. 15 in the Township of Hullett. The Environmental Study Report recom­ mends County Road No. 15 be improved to modem design stan­ dards for two-lane County roads and be paved. This Report is filed with the Clerk of the County of Huron, at the Court House in Goderich, Ontario in accordance with the requirements of the Class Environmental Assessment for Municipal Road Projects and in accordance with the Environmental Assessment Act R.S.O. 1980. Members of the public may view this document at the County Clerk's office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. All comments are to be submitted in writing addressed to N.
