Phone 887-9487 British guests depart Belgrave School Fair Parade starts from the United Church parking lot at 1 p.m. Sept. 12. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coultes at­ tended the baptism of Jonathon David William Matheson in Moles- worth Presbyterian Church on Sun­ day, September 2. A family dinner was held following the service at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Matheson, Lisa and Laura. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cook, Amy, Levi and Sean; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Stevenson; Mrs. Joanne Chapman and Jeremy and Steven Robinson, all of Belgrave; Mr. and Mrs. David Matheson; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Snyder, Jason and Kelly and Mrs. Grace Kemp, all of Molesworth. For the past three weeks the Rev. and Mrs. Peter Tucker have been enjoying the company of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tucker who are his brother and sister-in-law from Hove in Southern England. An enjoyable time has been spent in seeing the sights of Southern Ontario as well as enjoying a trip to Agawa Canyon in Algoma. They returned to Britain on Tuesday, ~ September 4, 1990. *** In honour of Robena McBumey’s 80th birthday a pot luck supper was held September 1 at Alan and June McBurney. Relatives attending were Grant, Mary and Erica from Woman marks 80th On Sunday, September 2 a surprise birthday party was held at the Seaforth McBumey in birthday. A beautiful flowers was presented to Robena by the family and then was presented by her to the Seaforth Manor for the enjoyment of every­ one. Squares, cakes and ice cream were served to about 100 relatives, neighbours and friends by Robena’s daughter, daughter-in- laws and granddaughters. Her oldest brother, Alex Young who is 92, attended from Craigholme in Ailsa Craig. People attended from Middleton, Nova Scotia, Ailsa Craig, Lucan, Brights Grove, Stratford, Goderich, Auburn, Brussels, Wingham, Belgrave, surrounding areas. People Many neighbours - from the Belgrave area gathered at Seaforth Manor on Sunday to help Robena McBumey celebrate her 80th birthday. Jacques Canada Limited spon­ sored a dealer trip to tour their plant in Prescott, Wisconsin. The tour included Chicago Board of Trade, test plots, plant facilities and Agra genetics owned by Jacques seeds. Those attending were Bob Sinclair and local dealers John Thompson, Glen Warwick and Bill Moffat. Mr. and Mrs. Dave McCormick and Jeffrey of St. Catherines; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Vesley and Jennifer of North York and Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin of Ilderton spent labour day weekend with Mrs. Laura Johnston, Bel­ grave. Also visiting at the same home on Sunday were Mrs. Mary War­ wick, Blyth; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Armstrong, Donna Lynn and John of Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Yuill and Camaria of Dungannon and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill, Belgrave. Middleton, Nova Scotia; Mae (Young) Armitage, London; Bob, Linda, Bailey, Brodie and Briar Armitage, Brights Gove; Forrest Armitage, RR 1, Embro; Norene and Ron Barker, Goderich; Laura and Ken Barbour, Brussels and Robena McBumey from Seaforth Manor. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby and Mrs. Ross Anderson attended the memorial service of Mrs. Donald Smith of Thunder Bay at the Bloor Street United Church, Toronto, on Tuesday evening, August 28. Mrs. Donald (Mary) Smith was a daugh­ ter-in-law of Mrs. Ada Smith, Brussels. PAGE 7. Fordwich boy dies A six-year-old Fordwich boy was pronounced dead on arrival at Listowel Memorial Hospital follow­ ing a tragic accident late last Wednesday afternoon. A spokesperson from the Wing­ ham OPP said Jesse Kenneth Rollins of Victoria St., was riding his bike south on the west sidewalk of Patrick St., when he failed to see a school bus driven by Everille Harrold of RR 1, Gowanstown turning right onto Louisa St. off Patrick. The youngster applied his brakes and slid across a gravel patch into a gutter. The bike tires returned onto the pavement, caught and the boy was thrown under the right rear tire of the bus. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. No charges will be laid, OPP stated.
