Ministry of Agriculture and Food
field offices.
The leaflets and blueprints con
tain useful construction and man
agement information for agricul-
and contractors. They apply to a
wide variety of commodity areas,
from the construction of livestock
buildings and feeders, handling
facilities and loading chutes, to
farm safety, wood preservatives,
ventilation and rodent control.

ordered through the offices.

provide excellent management in
formation and portray concepts and
ideas that can be incorporated into
construction projects,” said
George Garland, manager of the
Engineering Resources Unit.
“Users should be aware that
some of the components shown in
these blueprint plans may require
further engineering designs to
meet such things as local climatic
conditions, the building’s intended
use and building regulations,” he
added. “In many circumstances, it
may be necessary to obtain expert
advice from a private consultant.”

The loan from the village of Blyth to the Blyth Slo-pitch Tournament Committee to renovate George
Radford Memorial Ball Diamond was paid off in full last week when Ken Quipp (left) and Darren
Richmond (right) presented Blyth Reeve Albert Wasson with a cheque for $6,000. The money was
from the proceeds of the annual tournament held in August.
