He was the son of John Murphy of Scotland and the late Ellen Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Anne Murphy. He was loving father Jim and Sharon Murphy Burgessville and grandfather Scott Murphy at home. Also surviving are two brothers, Tom and John Murphy of Scotland and his mother-in-law, Annie Watt of Kitchener. The late Mr. Murphy rested at the Betts Funeral Home in Brussels where visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 21. Holy Rosary was held that evening. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1990 from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Brussels with Father Loe- bagh officiating. Interment was in Cranbrook Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Tom Murphy, John Murphy, Jim Murphy, Jim Watt, John Engel and Hugh O’Brien. In remembrance, dona­ tions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appre­ ciated. MALCOLM ROBERT SCOTT Malcolm Robert Scott of Bel­ grave died August 23, 1990 in Wingham following a long illness. He was in his 58th year. He was born in East Wawanosh, the son of the late Robert J. Scott and the former Margaret Aitken, both of whom predeceased him. He attended S.S. No. 8, East Wawa­ nosh. He made his living as a heavy Henry F. Also surviving is a daughter Dianne and her husband Garry McWhirter of London and a granddaughter Bryana McWhirter. Three sisters also survive: Isa- bell, Mrs. John McMillan, Lis­ towel; Nora, Mrs. Gordon Robb, RR 3, Lucknow; and Mary, Mrs. Leonard Eccles, Holstein, as well as a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lottie Scott, RR 1, Belgrave. He was predeceased by a son Donald Malcolm in 1973 and by a brother Ken Scott in 1979. The funeral service was. held August 25, 1990 from the McBur- ney Funeral Home, Brussels with Rev. Carolyn McAvoy of Knox Presbyterian Church, Belgrave (where he was a member) officiat­ ing. Interment was in Brandon r A MEMORIAL OF LASTING BEAUTY Cemetery.
