KAREN AND JAMES HALLAHAN Couple weds in Blyth GLOUSHER - HALLAHAN Blyth United Church was the setting July 21, 1990 for the lovely summer wedding between Karen Lucille Giousher and James Ed ward Hallahan. Karen is the daughter of/Don Giousher of Blyth and Laurel and Ken Wilson of Goderich. Jim is the son of Maurice and Mary Hallahan of RR 3, Blyth. Rev. Ramirez officiated at the service. Given in marriage by her father, Karen wore a full-length white satin gown with a satin petal embroidered organza bodice. She wore a white satin' rosebud head piece trimmed with tiny floating pearls. Karen’s dress was made by her mother. Karen carried a bouquet of fresh red roses and white babies’ breath. The maid of honour was Kim McDougall, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cathy Brown, friend of the bride; Vicki Giousher, sister of the bride; Maryanne Hallahan, sister of the groom and Barb Patterson, friend of the bride. They wore red cocktail-length dresses and carried bouquets of fresh red roses, white carnations and purple statice. The groom was dressed in white jacket and black trousers with red cummerbund and bow tie. His boutonniere consisted of three fresh red rosebunds with white babies’ breath. The best man was Kevin Riley, friend of the groom. Ushers were Kent Hallahan, cousin of the groom; Graham Giousher, brother of the bride; Paul Kerr, friend of the groom and Dennis Hallahan, brother of the groom. They wore black jackets and trousers with red cummerbunds and bow ties. Junior bridesmaid was Irene Hallahan, sister of the groom. She wore a white satin dress and carried a bouquet of fresh red roses and white carnations. Flower girl was Megan Patterson and ringbearer was Brandon Brown. Both are special little friends of the couple. Megan wore a white satin dress and carried a white teddy bear wearing a red dress. Brandon wore a tuxedo similar to the groom with a single red rosebud boutoniere. He carried the wedding bands on a satin heart-shaped pillow. Soloists at the' ceremony were Karen Bruinsma and Helen Camp bell, both friends of the bride. Organist was Mrs. Phyllis Boak. Reception was held at the Blyth Junior Farmers host Agri-Food Week dinner What is Agri-Food Week about?
