ILENE GRACE POORE Ilene Grace Poore of 330 Dinsley St., Blyth passed away at her residence on July 29, 1990. She was born in Dawn Township, Lambton county, 52 years ago, the daughter of the former Helen Hess and the late Morris Childs. She worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Dresden before her marriage ip MVCA general meeting Aug. 16 The Maitland Valley Conserva­ tion Authority (MVCA) will be holding its General meeting on Thursday, August 16 at 1:30 p.m. in the Administration Office at Wroxeter. Included in the agenda will be presentations of Conservation awards to several individuals and groups for contributions and efforts to help maintain the Maitland watershed. These include Peter and Brian Oldridge of RR 2, Blyth and the Huron Fringe Field Natur­ alists. A barbecue will follow the meet­ ing. 1965, then worked for the bank in London and Kitchener until her children Gayle and Elaine (both at home) were bom. She became a full-time homemaker and commum ity volunteer. Since the family moved to Blyth she was a member of the Blyth United Church Choir and served as president of the choir. She was treasurer of the Sunday School and treasurer of the Evening Unit of the United Church Women. She served on the Church’s Garage Sale, Harvest Bonanza and funeral committees and was the convenor of catering for the church. She also served a term on the Board of Stewards of the Church. She was one of the founding members of the Blyth Festival Singers and helped with fundrais­ ing for the Central Huron Secoh- dary School Music Club. She was a Brownie leader and was a member of the baking contest committee of the Blyth Rutabaga Festival. She is survived by her step­ father Vaughn Hess, by brother Lyle and Kay Childs of Sarnia and was step-sister of John and Janet Hess. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Ann and Catherine Louise. Visitors were received at the Tasker Chapel of the Beattie-Fal­ coner Funeral Home, Blyth on Tuesday, July 31. The funeral service was held from Blyth United Church on Wednesday, August 1, 1990 with a family friend Rev. Kenneth Bauman officiating. Serv­ ing as pallbearers were Don Childs, Gordon Dawson, Paul Josling, Albert Wasson, Jim Howson and Steven Sparling.
