Ushers for July 22 are Ian and lva Wilbee; July 29, Alvin and Vera Duff’s McDonald. There will be no ser­ vices in August. Sunday, Sept. 9 Bluevale Anniversary will be at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stan McDonald guest speaker. Walton’s 125th anniversary with guest speaker John King is on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. Tournament cancelled Walton Ladies’ slo-pitch ball tournament this past weekend was cancelled due to rain. Vance Stevenson, Whitby spent two weeks with his cousins Ron and Chris Stevenson. Jim and Helen Duncan and son Corey of Russel Manitoba visited with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Allan Searle. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Duncan had returned home with Jim and family following a visit out west with them and their other son Larry and family in June. This weekend the Trailblazers will play part of their games at the Walton Ball Park during their tournament that will be played at Brussels. Driver charged after accident There were no injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident that occurred late last Thursday after­ noon in East Wawanosh township at the junction of County Road 20 and sideroad 33-34. Shawn Dalton, 31, of RR 3, Goderich, was eastbound on the county road at 80 kilometres an hour, according to a spokesperson from the Wingham OPP, when his 1979 Olds was struck by a car driven by 26-year-old Randolph Scott of RR 1, Holyrood. Mr. Scott was travelling north on the side­ road, police say and drove his 1984 Volkswagon into the intersection, where he struck the Dalton car. Damage to both cars was listed as severe.
