Obituaries JEANNE BLAKE Funeral service was held Satur­ day morning, June 30, at 10:30 at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Brussels for Mrs. Louis Blake of RR 2, Brussels. Rev. Stan Soltysik officiated and interment took place in St. Am­ brose Cemetery. A rosary service was held Friday evening at the Betts Funeral Home, Brussels Chapel, where Mrs. Blake rested prior to the day of the funeral. Pallbearers were Peter, Paul, David, Greg and Edward Griffiths, Ron and Greg Kirkconnell. Mrs. Blake passed away Thurs­ day, June 28, at her home in her 60th year. The former Jeanne Elizabeth Kirkconnell, she was the beloved wife of the late Louis Blake; loving mother of Faye Peel of Gorrie and Mary Anne Van de Hengel of Greenwood; loved grandmother of Natalie Peel, Michael, Lucas and Ryan Van de Hengel; dear sister of Dianne Kirkconnell of Calgary, Mary Park of Winnipeg and Harold and Gloria Kirkconnell of Goderich. Jeanne was also the very dear friend of Ray White of .Brussels and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. In her memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Town and Country Home­ makers or Community Nursing Services. MARGARET M. McCULLOUGH Margaret McCullough of Goder­ ich and formerly of Blyth, died July 5, 1990 at her residence. She was born 75 years ago in McKillop township, the daughter of the late John Andrew Mont­ gomery and Margaret Simpson. She was a long-time resident of Blyth and was a member of Blyth United Church. She married Cyril (Sid) McCullough who predeceased her in 1989. She is survived by two daugh­ ters, Margaret Cook of Goderich and Shirley and her husband Bruce Hulley of RR 2, Goderich. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jeremy Cook and Cheryl and Steven Hulley and a sister-in-law Marion Letherland of Brussels. She was predeceased by two twin daughters in infancy and by four brothers, Andrew, Neil, William and Jack Montgomery. The funeral service took place July 7, 1990 from the Tasker Chapel of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home in Brussels with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Inter­ ment was in Maitland Bank Ceme­ tery, Seaforth. Serving as pallbear­ ers were Jim Laidlaw, Jim Marks, Ross and Carman Gwyn, Don Rogelstad and Jack Strong. ETHEL JANE FISCHER Ethel Jane Fischer of Brussels passed away suddenly at Wingham and District Hospital on Saturday, June 30, 1990 in her 83rd year. Mrs. Fischer was the wife of the ‘ late Wilfred Karl Fischer. She was the mother of: Goldie, (Mrs. Gordon Stevenson), Kitchener; Ivan and his wife Jean Fischer of Hillsburg; Betty (Mrs. Ross Knight), Brussels; Roy and his wife Donna of Brussels; Maxine, (Mrs. Barry Wicks) of Wasaga Beach; Gerald and his wife Martha of Cambridge; Shirley, (Mrs. Ken Crane) of Kitchener; Sharon (Mrs. Robin Jenkins) of St. Agatha. She was the beloved grand­ mother of 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and was pre­ deceased by four grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Gladys Hopper of St. Thomas. The funeral service took place Tuesday, July 3 from the Betts Funeral Home, Brussels Chapel. Interment was in Brussels Ceme­ tery. Rev. Atwell of Lucknow Anglican Church and Captain Pur­ dy of the Salvation Army officiated. Serving as pallbearers were John Fischer, Jeff Wicks, Randy Fis­ cher, Warren Knight, Paul Steven­ son and Mike Lyons. Flower bearers were Annette Stephenson, Shelley Jorritsma and Nancy Walker. In remembrance, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appre­ ciated. WILFRED BROWN Wilfred Brown of Wroxeter pas­ sed away Wednesday, July 4, 1990 at Wingham and District Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Ada Pauline (1963) and Mary Hill (1967). Left to mourn him are one daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Ralph Fiddes of Odessa and three sons, Bob and his wife Irene of Wroxeter; Bill and his wife Joanne of Wroxeter and Jack and his wife Gwynne of Gorrie. Nine grand­ children and 13 great-grandchild­ ren also survive. He was prede­ ceased by one granddaughter Brenda Brown in 1969. The funeral service took place from the Betts Funeral Home, Gorrie Chapel on July 6, 1990 with Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. In­ terment was in Wroxeter Ceme- Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Brown, Greg Brown, Jim Fudger, Ken Noble, Clark Gal­ braith and Floyd Allen.
