Arthur and Barbara Ellen Steele Couple to live in Wasaga Beach STEELE - GROSS Carmen and Christina Gross of RR 1, Auburn, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Barbara Ellen, to Owen Arthur Steele, son of William and Patricia Steele of London, Ontario. The ceremony took place on May 5, 1990 at Calvary Baptist Church in Goderich, with Pastor Terry Woodcock, officiating. The bride’s sister, Susan Gross, was maid of honour and Ed Arnold, friend of the groom, was the best man. A cake and coffee reception followed at the church and later the two immediate families enjoyed dinner at Robindale’s in Goderich. The couple spent a week-long camping honeymoon in Algonquin Park and are now residing in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Kids’ Cornef fOL-lOW r^KTIJ'S \NSTR(JCTlo^S Blyth Scout group plans season The 1st Blyth Group Committee met on June 6 at Blyth Public School. The treasurer, Connie Bromley reported that $328.80 was received from the bottle drive. These funds will be used to pay outstanding bills for camping equipment for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. At the Huron District Year-End Camp the Beavers met at the Clinton Arena on May 26 due to the threat of rain. Caveman and Flin­ stone activities were enjoyed by four leaders, 13 boys and five helpers. Four of the boys graduat­ ing from Beavers to Cubs attended the ‘Pond to Jungle’ Camp on June 9 and 10 at the Bluewater Camp­ ground with leaders Heather Ver- wey and Shawn Verwey. Four Cub leaders, 22 boys and one helper attended the Huron District Camp at Benmiller May 25 - 27. All enjoyed the Caveman Kids rally at Camp Kin tail The hills and dales of Camp Kintail became very alive with the excited laughter of children when the fifth annual Children’s Rally was held recently. Fifteen churches from Moles- worth, Brussels, Kincardine, Tees- water, Gorrie and all points in between were represented by the 219 people attending, of which 150 were children. After all enjoyed a hot dog supper, children ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 8 enjoyed activities based on the theme, “Caring for God’s World”. These included Nature Walk, Games, Crafts and music and worship. All gathered in MacDonald Lodge for a slide presentation about “God’s World”. Scout Greg McClinchey has earned the honour of “Chief Scout” and received his award at a ceremony in Hanover on June 24. He has also been chosen to attend the World Jamboree in Korea in 1991. A precamp for W.J. was held June 8 - 10 at the Bluewater Campground. Scouts hope to have a summer BBQ. Leaders submitted year-end re­ ports to be audited by the sponsors and sent to District. School facilities will be booked for the 1990-91 season. Registra­ tion for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Blyth Public School. Registration Fee will be $25.00.
