Area obituaries DOREEN RINTOUL Doreen Rintoul, RR 3, Wingham, died at University Hospital, London Ontario on Monday, June 11, 1990 in her 71st year. She was the former Doreen Purdon. She was the beloved wife of Gordon Rintoul; dear mother of Gayle (Mrs. Brad Speiran) of RR 3, Brussels; Leroy and Lila Rintoul, RR 2, Lucknow and Brian Rintoul of RR 3, Wing­ ham; mother-in-law of Barbara (Mrs. Gary Rintoul) of RR 2, Lucknow; sister of Muriel, (Mrs. Lloyd Moffat) of Lucknow) Marjorie Bott of Lethbridge, Alberta and Archie Purdon of RR 3, Wingham. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Carol MacPherson, Kim and Debbie Rintoul, Sara, Jill and Jeff Speiran, Kevin and Corey Rintoul. She was predeceased by her son Gary (1984). Friends paid their respects at the McBurney Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, June 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Neilson offi­ ciating. Interment Wingham Cemetery. Flower bearers were grandchild­ ren Kim Rintoul, Debbie Rintoul and Kevin Rintoul. Pallbearers were Paul Curran, Alex Craig, Neil Rintoul, Bill Purdon, Steven Mac Pherson and Bruce Higgins. KEVIN ROBERT MCDONALD Kevin Robert McDonald of High River passed away at the High River Hospital on Thursday, May 17, 1990 at the age of 13 years. He is survived by his loving parents Bob and Linda McDonald, his sister Jennifer and brother Kyle, all of High River. He is the loving grandson of: Gordon Mc­ Donald, Richmond, B.C.; John and June Nixon, Toronto, Ont.; and beloved great-grandson of Goldie Nixon of Oakville, Ontario. Private Family Funeral Services were held on Saturday, May 19 at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, High River. The Ven. Archdeacon Robert Griffiths officiated. Inter­ ment followed at Highwood Ceme­ tery, High River, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, 737-13th Cranbrook Compiled by Mrs. Mac Engel. Phone 887-6645 Library reopens Friday The Cranbrook Branch Library is moving from the Saxon home to the Cranbrook Community Hall on Monday, June 18. The Grand Opening will be Friday, June 22 at 8 p.m. In spite of cool weather over 30 people enjoyed the Forester’s bar­ becue of hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and a good variety of cakes, plus ice cream. Miss Beatrice Myers of the Wycliffe Bible Translators was an overnight guest of Wilfred and Mrs. Strickler. SUSAN CHRISTINE GROSS Susan ChristineGross, daughter of Carmen and Christena Gross of Auburn, Ontario, graduated from University of Waterloo on May 24 with an Honours Bache­ lor of Arts degree in Psychology and an English Minor.
