There was plenty of food for Father as Duff’s United Church held its annual Country Supper. The
Father’s Day tradition attracts a huge crowd each year.

A large crowd attended the
Country Smorgasbord Supper at
Duff’s United Church on Sunday,
June 17 when many family mem
bers were home to celebrate Fath
er’s Day.
The Walton Women’s Institute
catered to a bus load of people
approximately 49, last Wednesday
evening when Fordwich Institute
members and friends stopped at
the hall for their meal enroute to
see a play at the Blyth Festival.
The W.I. is planning to have a
hot beef luncheon this Wednesday,
the last one until fall. Then in the
evening the Institute will meet for
their June meeting. The Institute
members from Londesboro and
Seaforth are invited. David Baan
will be guest speaker.
Congratulations to the “Walton
Brewers” who won the “A”
Championship at the Seaforth Fast
Ball Tournament on the weekend
winning the last game over Embro
by a land slide.
Ray and Leona Nelson of Van
couver, B.C. spent a couple of days
this past week with Gerald and
Berva Watson and visited other
family members.
Father’s Day guests with Mr.
and Mrs. Roily Achilles were Anne
Sills, Donnie, Tim and Tracey of
Seaforth. Danny and Karen!
Achilles and children visited on
Saturday at the same home.
