Afteraslidepresentation, theyoungsters wenton a bus ride to test their new-found knowledge. Mrs. Shirley Nicol of Brampton spent a couple of days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor of Sarnia visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor. Mrs. Irlma Edgar, Miss Winni- fred Johnston of Wingham, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stewart of Blue­ vale, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edgar were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse on Thursday evening, this being the occasion of Harvey’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor of Sarnia visited on Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor. Visitors on the holiday weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edgar and Don were from Petrolia, Brigden, London, Blyth, Tavistock, Lucknow, Toronto, Islington, Aylmer, Belgrave, Brus­ sels and Wingham. Rev. Peter D. Tucker of Belgrave took the services at Walton and Bluevale United Churches on Sun­ day, May 27. 18 tables at euchre Eighteen tables were in play at the weekly euchre which was held in the W.I. Hall, Belgrave. Winners were: high lady, Mrs. Clarence Hanna; low lady, Mrs. Ivy Cloakey; most lone hands, Mrs. Gordon Louttit; birthday nearest to the 24th of May, Mrs. Marie Merkley; high man, John King; low man, Gordon Louttit; most lone hands, Stanley Black; birthday nearest to the 24th of May, Harvey Edgar. Euchre will be held Wednesday, May 30 starting with a pot luck supper at 6:30 p.m. Please bring your own dishes and cutlery. Everyone is welcome. Large crowd turns out to hear guest minister Rev. Bonnie Cole Arnal, minister of Walton and Bluevale United Church was the guest speaker for the large congregation of both Calvin-Brick and Knox United, Belgrave and also other visitors who gathered at Calvin-Brick Unit­ ed Church for their anniversary service on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. May 27. She chose for her sermon “Power in Weakness”. Mrs. George McGee, pianist pro­ vided the music for the hymns and for the Junior Choir who sang “I Cannot Come”. Solo “My Tribute” was given by Mr. David Stobo who was accompanied by Mrs. McGee. Jr. Pork Congress * eared to 4H The Junior Program of the Ontario Pork Congress is designed for the young at heart and is especially geared to those in the 4H program. The Junior Program is divided into four categories: the Junior Swine Judging Competition, the Junior Swine Display Competition, the Junior Barrow Show and the Junior Swine Showmanship Com­ petition. All of the Junior programs are open to young people from the ages of 11 to 21 as of January 1, 1990. The Junior Swine Judging Competition and Junior Swine Dis­ play Competition are also open to groups.
