Forthesecond time since its formation 4 years ago the Brussels Crusaders were victorious in their quest for W.O.A.A. senior hockey supremacy. This victory had capped a very successful year for the Crusaders who captured the regular season title with a record of 15 wins, 4 losses and 2 ties. The fact of having the “A” division award winning goaltenders; the privilege of having 8 regular defensemen; the privilege of having an explosive offence; the privilege of having a balance of veterans and rookies; the privilege of having a captain and alternates who are true team leaders; the privilege of having bench strength that was second to none in the league; the privilegeof having an executive who work so hard behind the scenes to see that things run smoothly; make being involved with this team a real privilege. The W.O.A.A. senior league has improved immensely over the past few yearsand with talk of new team scorning in next year should continue to improve in the future. The Crusaders would like to thank their loyal fans and would welcome new support be it at the fan level or executive level. Perhaps it has come time for the league to look at promoting our league for what it is—a quality, exciting and very competitive brand of hockey.
