The rest executive includes Anton Wyten- burg of Richmond as vice-president and Allen Diefenbacher of Flora­ dale, Shirley Bechard of St. Tho­ mas and Bob Allen of St. Thomas were elected to the executive committee. The executive and members of the association listened to the Business and Professional Directory feature topic of dangers associated with farm equipment which was addressed by David Shmerse, Pro­ ject Manager for Project Safety, Marketing and Training of Deere and Company in Moline, Illinois, who outlined problems associated with farm equipment and how his company is actively promoting safety. Mary Ellen Rimmelzwann. Peterborough, recounted a farm accident in which she was pulled into flowing grain and came close to being killed. Her graphic ac­ count of the accident moved the 300 delegates who heard her. John Wilkerson of Embro. Ontario, re­ called a machinery accident which took the life of his brother and the effects that that accident had on family and community. The Jacklin tender, amounting to $64,500 was the lowest of five received. In other business, Council authorized a grant of $526 to the Huron County Library Board to­ wards the purchase of computer access equipment for the Brussels Library and a grant of $50 to the Huron County Historical Society.
