THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28, 1990. f&MMTiou cr owmwty 3,3t-jD$a Obituaries MARGARET [MARGE] BOWMAN Margaret (Marge) Bowman died on Saturday, March 17, 1990 at Huronview in Clinton. She was in her 94th year. The former Marge Yuill she was predeceased by her husband John Bowman in 1988. Mrs. Bowman was the loving mother of Isabel and her husband Bill Elston of RR 5, Brussels, Doris and Ross Strickland of London, Mary and Mait Edgar of Petrolia, Jim Bowman of RR 5, Brussels and Louise and Bill Marshall of Cal­ gary, Alberta. She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grand­ children and a brother, Samuel Yuill of Lucan. She was predeceas­ ed by a sister, Christine McDonald and a brother John Yuill. Mrs. Bowman rested at Betts Funeral Home in Brussels until services were held on Tuesday, March 20 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring at Brussels Cemetery. The family asks that in remem­ brance donations be made to the Melville Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Bly th Lions host tournament The Blyth Lions Club hosted their 19th annual Little Lion Novice Hockey Tournament this past weekend. Eight teams took part in the two day tournament. Brussels defeated the Blyth “B” team to capture the ‘D’ division champion­ ship. Tiverton won over Teeswater for the “C” division championship. Clifford was the “B” division champion with a victory over Ripley. Lucknow recorded a 5 to 4 win over Blyth “A” team to win the “A” division championship. The Blyth Lions Club paid the registra­ tion fee for the two Blyth teams. Belgrave wins Continued from page 15 Eugene Fenton, scored from Brian Marks putting Belgrave in the lead. Wayne Fenton scored the next goal with an assist from Ryan Cook and Kirk Kreiger. Then just a few seconds later Brent Robinson scor­ ed his second goal of the game. The final goal of the second period was scored by Wayne Fenton from Kirk Kreiger. Eugene Fenton opened the scor­ ing in the third period with an assist by Dan Gusso. Ryan Cook and Brian Marks scored the last two goals, both assisted by Brent Robinson. Game number two was played Sunday with Belgrave defeating the Huron Park team by a narrow one-goal margin. Corey Moran scored the only goal of the game with only a little over one minute remaining in the final period giving Belgrave goalie Chris Piluke a shut-out. The Belgrave team served only two penalties during the game while Huron Park got six. The final round for the Belgrave team was against Hensail, whom they also defeated in a close game. Hensall opened the scoring just a few minutes into the first period but Belgrave player Brent Robin­ son tied things up halfway through, scoring off Ryan Cook. Ryan came back to score the first goal of the second period assisted by Dan Gusso. Brent Robinson got another point in the third period and Hensall tightened the margin a few minutes later, but with just one minute and 28 seconds remaining in the game Eugene Fenton assisted by Kirk Kreiger slipped the puck past the Hensall goalie to finish the game four to two for Belgrave.
