Making introductions isn’t easy, but practice does help. Always send thank you notes promptly after the event. In difficult times saying “sorry’’ is much better than the rudeness of silence. People in hospitals and nursing homes like visitors, but be considerate. If a fly lands in your food, eat from the opposite side of the plate or leave your plate untouched. Members talked about Do’s and Don’ts in a restaurant. Did you know that “au gratin’’ means baked with a topping of bread or cracker crumbs and grated cheese? Members started planning for their pot luck dinner. They closed the meeting by repeating the 4H motto.
