Prices lower at Brussels Livestock sale Friday
The market at Brussels Livestock
Inc. Friday, was under pressure
selling $1.00 to $2.00 lower. There
were 411 slaughter cattle and 246
pigs on offer.
Good to choice steers were $85 to
$88 to the high of $90.25.
Seventeen steers consigned by

averaged 1301 lbs. sold for $88.04.

1182 lbs. sold for $86.76. One steer

The Western Fair Farm Show is
scheduled for the Western Fair
grounds at London from Wednes
day, March 7 until Saturday,
March 10. The show is open from
10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday and from 10
a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The show features a gigantic
Agri-Business display as well as
daily programs in the Paddock
Building. The 10:30 a.m. program
features, Cooking Demonstrations
Tuesday and Wednesday, a pre
sentation on Improving Our Envir
onment on Friday and a session
on Crafts for Saturday.
The 1:30 p.m. program features
four different speakers. The Hon
ourable David Ramsey, Minister of
Agriculture and Food for Ontario is
the lead-off speaker at 1:30 p.m. on
Tuesday. He’ll be followed on
Wednesday with a talk on Food
Safety by Diane Kirkpatrick,
Health and Welfare, Ottawa. Fri
day’s speaker will be Steven Lewis
speaking on a Vision of a Balanced
World Society. He’ll be followed on
Saturday by Mr. David Swanson of
Central Soy Company Inc. speaking
on Canada-U.S. Trade in the Grain
Industry.
