Blyth Tykes score
8-3 victory over Zurich
Oops!
Keeping track of the puck isn’t always easy during the fast action of a Crusaders game and for a
brief instant it seems Ken Higgins was passing the puck at Saturday night’s game against the
Milverton 4-Wheel Drives.
Brussels Atoms lose first game
Three overtime goals gave
Howick atoms a 5-3 win over
Brussels in the first game of their

period lead on goals by Andrew
Exel from Josh Beuermann and

the third to tie the score.
In overtime, Howick scored two
goals before Jeff Lewington scored
from Andrew Exel to pull Brussels
to within a goal with 1:53 left in the
10-minute overtime period. But

widen the gap to two goals again.
The Blyth Tykes kept on their
winning ways on Saturday as they
visited Zurich and returned home
with an 8 - 3 victory.

teamed up for the first goal. Then
Matt Anderson with the help of
Dean made it 2-0, Blyth’s third goal
was a solo effort by Graham
Worsell when he broke in all alone
from the red line.
Blyth then seemed to fall asleep
as Zurich got their goals all on
breaks from the centre line, to tie
the game at 3-3.
The Blyth boys returned from
their rest at 3:44 of the second
period when Nathan Shannon scor
ed from Matt Anderson, and Ross

two quick ones only 16 seconds
