Phone 887-9487 Sixteen tables were in play at the weekly eucrhe which was held in the W.I. Hall, Belgrave, Wednes­ day, January 24. Knox holds ann. meeting Members of Knox United Church in Belgrave held their annual meeting January 28 following lunch after the morning service. Lewis Stonehouse presented the financial statement, reporting a good balance on hand and thanked everyone for their support, tors, Goerge Procter and Campbell were re-elected. The following members Audi- Lorne were rCrime elected to the Session for a three- year term: Jane Grasby, Dorothy Coultes and Ross Anderson; and to the Board of Stewards, Mary Taylor, John Campbell and Doreen Marks. Bert Johnston was re-appointed as trustee. Ruth Gordon and George Procter are the Sunday School Superintendents. It was decided that a Country Fayre would be held June 23, 1990 and the next annual meeting would be the last Sunday in January 1991 after lunch following the service. UCW members attend meeting Mrs. Gordon Bosman, Mrs. Har­ old Vincent and Mrs. William Coultes attended the Huron-Perth Presbyterial United Church Women annual meeting in North­ side United Church, Seaforth. Winners were: high lady, Mrs. Gordon Bosman; second high lady, Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse; novelty lady, Mrs. Jas. R. Coultes; low lady, Mrs. Robert Grasby; high man, Robert Grasby; second high man, George Michie; novelty man, Mrs. Irene Smith (playing as a man); low man, Mrs. Lloyd Apple­ by (playing as a man). There will be euchre again Wednesday, January 31 starting at 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome. m ’ of the Week Crime Stoppers and the Criminal Investigators of the Wingham De­ tachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the help of the public in solving this break, enter and theft. Sometime in the early morning of May 22, 1988 police believe at least three persons broke into the Wing­ ham Golf and Curling Club located on L3 Cl Morris Township, RR 4, Wingham. After prying open a door the thieves began taking liquor and golf equipment. The following items were stolen: one ladies and one mens PT EYE eleven pc RH golf sets one TNT Custom 7 pc. men’s LH golf set one Titleist Pull Cart one TNT Sand Wedge one TNT Putter RH one Phaser Putter LH one Rampion Golf Bag (brown) two TNT golf bags (biege and navy) two animal head covers (donkey and monkey) and a quantity of opened 40 oz. liquor bottles. The value of the stolen items ^jfxceeds $1,300. During the early morning hours of April 30, 1988 thieves stole $500 worth of property from 2 pick-up trucks in Huron Park. Crime Stoppers and Criminal Investigators at the Exeter Detach­ ment of the Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your help in solving this theft. The owner of the two pick-up trucks left them unlocked believing that the contents of his truck would be safe in his own driveway. The next morning he found that thieves had gone into his trucks and fled with the following items: a 6’ Shakespeare fishing rod, a zebco reel model 200 serial # PS640, an ‘Old Pal’ tackle box brown in colour with 35 lures and an Alpine graphic equalizer model T136 serial #321440239820. 11 F f iJ!
