BLYTH-CONNECTION LEADS SAILORS On Tuesday, January 9 the Bulls lost their third straight game in Goderich dropping a 2-1’decision to the Sailors. The loss was the Bulls’1 fourth in six games against Goder­ ich, the only club io win a regular season series against Brussels this year. After a scoreless first period Marty Rutledge opened the scoring 49 seconds into the second frame on passes from Kurt Wall and Corey McKee. Brussels held the lead until early in the final period when Goderich’s Dean Lawrie tied and won the game on powerplay opportunities. Jeff Roy made 39 stops in the loss while Mike Henry stopped 31 for the win. Saturday night the Bulls lost for the third straight game in Mt. Forest as the Patriots came from behind with four third period goals in an 8-6 win. Brussels opened quickly as Steve Vandendool and Marty Rutledge setup Steve Fritz at 5:05 and 16 seconds later scored their second with Chris Johnson connecting on passes from Jason Kraemer and Jamie Gibbings. Mt. Forest cut the lead in half before Fritz from Kurt Wall and Jeff Douglas gave the Bulls a 3-1 first period lead. Brussels again opened quickly scoring three minutes into the second as Douglas set up Rut­ ledge’s 50th goal of the year. Mt.
