Church a number of family and
friends visited at the home of Beth
Knox.
On Christmas Day, Mei and
Barb, Theresa, Melanie, and Chris
Knox and Beth Knox enjoyed
Christmas dinner with Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Irwin in Clinton.
Hazel Watkins served Christmas
dinner to 15 family members for
Christmas Day.

a brother for Kathy and Scott.
At the W.I. euchre at the hall on
Dec. 29 there were three tables of
euchre. Winners were: ladies’
high, Josephine McGregor of Clin
ton; ladies’ lone hands, Ida Godkin,
Clinton; ladies’ low, Elma Jewitt,
Clinton; men’s high, Roberta
Plumsteel, Clinton; men’s lone
hands, Roy Krauter; men’s low,
Elizabeth Lawson. The next euchre
is on January 12 at 8 p.m.
Congratulations to Dave and
Karen Armstrong on the birth of
their daughter on Saturday, Dec.
30.
Shuffleboard was held on Jan. 3
at Hullett Central School. There
were 12 people present. High lady
was Hazel Reid and high man, Reg.
Lawson.

year terms. Brenda Boyer is the
new Hall Board secretary (887-

after the auditing of the books has
been completed. A budget meeting
will be held in the near future.
Helen Cullen acted as chairman
for the meeting.
Get well wishes are sent to Helen
Alexander who is a patient in the
hospital.

have returned from a chilly visit to

Hullett township council agreed
at its Dec. 19 meeting that the
province should do more to encour
age recycling by Ontario municipal
ities. >
The council supported a resolu
tion from Bathurst Township say
ing the province should do more to
support recycling by investigating
new markets for recyclable goods.
In other business, council agreed
to allow the Auburn Ladies Broom
ball team to hold a snowpitch
tournament with the proceeds to go
to the minor ball program in the
township.
It was agreed to pay the town-
-- ship’s chief building official $8,320
per year, effective January 1 to
June 30.
A letter of thanks was to be sent
to Murray Cardiff, M.P. for Huron-
Bruce to thank him for giving a flag
and a picture of the Queen for the
township.
Reeve Tom Cunningham and
Councillor Bob Szusz were appoin
ted to sit on the committee to
appoint representatives from Sea
forth, Hullett and McKillop to sit
on the Ausable-Bayfield Conserva
tion Authority.
