The more you shopped the more points you earned. Mary had a total of 32,498 points and won over $500 merchandise and prizes. Mr. and Mrs. John Simpson spent three weeks in De Land Florida with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Craig. They travelled by car, and returned home by bus, and enjoyed it all. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Tipple, Jonathon and Sarah of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. David Huether, Jeffery and Kevin, Brampton, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ritchie and Christopher, Markham spent Christmas with Mary, Murray, Brian, Dianne, Sandra and Sheri and other relatives. Mrs. Kate Wilson had 36 mem­ bers of her family for Christmas dinner on Sunday, December 17 including her sister Clara Haig of Brussels and the newest family member, little Jill Eadie. Relatives visting were from Goderich, Ben- miller, Brucefield, Clinton, Crom- . arty, Bayfield, Waterloo, Walker­ ton and Wingham. Jeff Huether, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Huether of Brussels has had a successful hockey season so far. His Bramp­ ton Novice “AAA” team has recorded 40 wins, 2 losses and 3 ties. They have won the North Bay, Guelph and Chinguacousy Silver Stick Tournament Championships and qualify for the International Silver Stick “AAA” Finals in St. Clair Shores, Michigan in Febru­ ary. They are currently playing in the Burlington Golden Horsehoe Xmas Tournament. Dave Huether of Brampton coaches the team. The Lawrence Jacklin family all gathered at the home of Don and Joyce Jacklin on December 24 where they enjoyed a good turkey dinner. Brussels UCW holds pot luck Brussels United Church Ladies held a pot luck supper in the Church basement. While the ladies were arriving, Betty Campbell played Christmas music. Dorothy Steffler read a prayer for the blessing. President Jannette Boynton welcomed the ladies. Joan Bernard, Cathy Workman, Joyce Jacklin, Janette Boynton and Rene Richmond lit the five candles for the Advent. Barbar Hicks was the guest speaker. Announcing .:?Our Christmas Draw. The Corps was started in February, 1979. It is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 19. Cadets are trained in Drill, Map and Compass, Field Craft, Small Arms, Leadership, First Aid, Me­ thods of Instruction, Fundamental Training and other optional sub­ jects such as Communications. All subjects are taught by Civi­ lian Instructors and members of the Cadet Instructors List who are trained by The Canadian Forces.
