ELECTS 1952 OFFICERS
On Tuesday evennig, December 18,
Mrs. A. W. Irwin opened her home,
beautifully decorated for Christmas,
to the Evening Aukiliary of Wing-
ham United Church, for its Decem-
ber meeting. Mrs. C. W. Lloyd con-
ducted an impressive Carol Service
and was assisted by Mrs. Salter, Mrs.
Grose, Mrs. Irwin, Mrs, G. W. How-
son, Mrs. Vogan and Mrs. Webster,
in the lighting of the candles of good
will and friendship to various nation-
alities in Canada.
Mrs. W. H. Edwards react the story
of the birth of Jesus Christ as re-
lated in St. Luke's Gospel, Chap. 2.
Prayer was offered by Mrs. Lloyd
and Mrs. Burrell. A chorus of eight
members sang "Good Christian Men
Rejoice" and "Deck the Hall with
Boughs of Holly." The singing of car-
ols interspersed the program. Miss
Yvonne McPherson gave a reading,
"The Song of the Bells" and Mrs.
G. W. Tiffin read a humorous story !leer
