and Washington, D.C., daughter of
Mr. and. Mrs. Matthew Wood Teller,
Parkhill, and William Samuel Spec-
tor, son of Dr. Jessie Spector and the
late Morris Spector, Appleton, Wis-
consin. Mr, Telfer was formerly an
employee of the Canadian Bank of
Commerce in Wingham.
Rev, Howard Johnson, assisted by
Rev. Sydney Davison, performed the
double ring ceremony on Saturday in
St. Paul's United Church, Parkhill.

Exeter, where the bride's mother
wore a teal aaernoon dress with
matching hat and navy accessories
and corsage of pink carnatione. For
traveling the bride chose a brown
faille princess coat dress with beige
and brown velvet hat and a mink
stole.
The groom is a graduate of the Un-
iversity of Wisconsin, and of the
George Washington University, in
Washington, where he is completing
his doctorate research towards his
Ph.D. He is also a member of elle
National Research Council of the Un-
ited States, in Washington, where the
couple will reside.
BROWN - STAPLETON
Wingham Baptist Church was the
scene on Saturday at 2.30 p.m., of a
wedding which created a great deal of
local interest, when Anne Isabel
Stapleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Stapleton, of Wingham, was
united in marriage to William Mar-
vin Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam J. Brown of Wingham. Rev. E.
A. Black performed the ceremony as-
sisted by Pastor J, L. Coyle.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of slipper
white satin fashioned with a redin-
gote of satin and which featured long
tight sleeves and a long petal roll col-
lar, and buttons to the waist. The
skirt fell away to a chapel train and
the gown of net was accented by
gathering over a bustline and the
bouffant skirt fell to the floor. She
carried a white bible topped with
gardenias and stephanotis, and wore
a fingertip veil, held by a Juliet cap
of white satin trimmed with seed
pearls.
The maid -of-honour, Mrs. Alfred
Mason, sister of the bride, wore an
emerald green satin gown, Mrs, John
Hopper and Mrs. William Stapleton,
bridesmaids, wore bronze satin gowns,
each with matching hats and mittens
and carried bouquets of bronze and
yellow mums. .The two pretty little
flower girls, Mary Anne Mason and
Cheryl Rowland both wore gowns of
yellow taffeta and matching head-
dresses and mittens and carried bas-
kets of flowers.
Mr. John Hopper was groomsman,
and the ushers were Ken Stapleton
and Calvin Burke. Soloist was Pas-
tor J. L. Coyle, who sang 'Beeause'
