Seeing Sea Serpents is an old
British Columbia custom. Reports
that someone has spotted one crop up
every year. But the coast is not alone
in seeing Monsters.
Recently new proof turned up of the
custom's antiquity. Someone found
an old copy of Zion's Herald, a Boston
Methodist Weekly published in 1826.
It said Captain Holdridge of the
shop Silas Richards, inbound from
Liverpool ,and many of his passengers
had a clear view of a Sea Serpent off
George's Bank.
The article said it appeared to be
the same Sea Serpent frequently re-
ported off Cape Ann. The part of it
in three hours one morning in ',last-
view, one constable had all he could
stand especially when the next pro-
cession showed 22 cars. And all were
honking gaily and quite noisily,
Twenty of the 22 drivers ended up
in court, The constable said the noise
was too much for him and he could-
n't catch the other two.

In Amherst, Nova Scotia, business-
man Donald Robb, who is quite well-
known, stopped for a chat with an
officer in the Police cruiser,
It was a hot day so Robb climbed
inside the car while talking to the
officer. Then Robb's young son came
racing up yelling.
Soon a large crowd had gathered
and Robb was getting hot under the
collar. Young Robb just pleading with
the Officer: "Don't take my daddy to
jail. Please don't take My daddy to
jail."
Not that he wanted to anyway.

FORRICH
After safely installing her own
youngster back in school for the
second year, ono suburban Toronto
mother noticed a brightly scrubbed
and shining youngster standing out-
side the school,
"Well," she says. "back to school.
How do you like Kindergarten?"
The chubby little youngster piped
back: "Not in. Kindergarten, 1 ma
in Grade One.'
After the heusewife congratulated
him, the little fellow chirped back.
"Yeah .. I guess. But what's the use
of coming back to school? I still can't
read or write!".
Those armored cars usually look
pretty tough. But in Montreal, one
of the delivery trucks was making a
delivery and the guard looked himself
in as per rules.
